this is an idea i had a while back.

the bird/snake thing is actually a monster that came from her home. she is Kirara my character, and the bird had a bit of a thing for her before she left home. then after she left then the bird went on to search for her... but he didn't find her in the story... so this is a just a little thought and ponder on what it would be like if they would meet again.

Kirara blinked up to the sun, she thought she had seen a small shadow come over her for just a second…
“Hey sis? You coming?” Aaron shouted at her from the front of the pack. The jungle was waiting; a long path was waiting for them to whisk them away into a new adventure.

WHOOSH—she suddenly felt like a strong wind blew on her back that pushed her forward, so strong was the wind it screamed into her ears blew her hair into her face so all she could see was red. A heavy thump sounded behind her that shook the ground so violently they thought that the ground would crack in two. With a scream then she was on the ground covering her head.

Soon then the ground stopped and she dared to look up at the group that was waiting for her to come. The look on their faces showed absolute horror but they weren’t looking at her. They looked up above her. Her brother screamed to the front of the pack and stared into the same direction but this time he smiled.

“I think you should look up…”

“Why?” after a moment of hesitation then she did as her brother suggested and glanced over her shoulder.
Behind her was a form of a monster. A long body that slithered up and shook its rattle snake tail but its head was feathery and two red eyes glowed in the shadow that glared down at her. Huge wings spread apart and sweep down to the ground, to get her. Dark brown feathers snatched her off the ground and after that she disappeared into a sea of windblown feathers.

“Kirara!” the sailors shouted and cursed, pointed their guns and drew their swords. But Aaron only smirked.
The dragon like thing nuzzled its bird beak into her belly and she embraced it back as they stayed in the embrace of old friends that were reunited once more… Aaron sighed and looked up at her twin as she shed her tears over the monster that came to welcome her back.
